Burrows and Fargion describe what they do as "handmade and small format". Although they work with unspectacular elements they often achieve deceptive virtuosity, something that radiates joy just because it stimulates the audience to think. Over the past ten years the two artists have built up a work made of duets which juxtaposes the formality of musical composition with a radical and open approach to performance and the audience. These duets form the basis for one of Motion Bank’s digital online score projects offering the audience in Frankfurt a unique opportunity to see a retrospective of their work. This is the third performance in the Motion Bank’s guest performance series.
