A HISTORY probes the decade-long partnership of company members Angie Hauser and Darrell Jones, revisiting the development of their sustained duet from a ten-year perspective. Combining dance and media, A HISTORY is both the evidence and performance of this creative relationship, as well as the retelling of the stories that drive the Company’s particular mode of inquiry. The duet work in the context of A HISTORY and elsewhere in Bebe Miller’s choreographic structures is the research topic of the TWO Project undertaken with Motion Bank score partners Maria Palazzi and Norah Zuniga Shaw of the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design and Department of Dance at The Ohio State University.
